Convincing pedal for drop tuning?

Does anyone know of any pedal/effect that does a good job simulating down tuning? I'm not looking for drastic pitch change, just 1/2 step down for my locking trem guitar.

If its for personal use, you can also get programs to change the pitch of mp3's, and it works pretty well!

The EHX Ring Thing also has a pretty convincing pitch shifter as well. That one also does ring modulation, faux leslie effects, whammy pedal, and some other neat tricks. I really want one of these.

...sounds like a good reason to buy a 2nd guitar! :)

seriously tho, pedals will have limitations and sound artificial. get a 2nd guitar - everyone should have at least 2 anyways...

Big +1. This is the best and smartest thing to do.

I have 2 guitars, one of which I keep to Eb tuning, but my floyd_equipped guitar I wanted to use for both standard and Eb stuff, but surely I won't be retuning it each time. I was hoping that there was some way I could keep it tuned to standard and use an effect of some sort to reasonably simulate Eb...

the Morpheus Drop Tune will do it at the cost of making your guitar sound like a Roland synth.

but it's $200 and for that price you could buy a second-hand back-up floyd guitar to keep in a different tuning.

do the right thing. don't be lame. get another guitar.
