Cool video demonstrating how the B Bender works and sounds.

B Bent

I know a lot of folks still ask me who, what, and why when it comes to the B Bender. Here is a cool video demonstrating the sounds. It starts out kind of hokey, but in the end sounds great!!!!

^ +1 on Jolly's post

That's a great video B Bent... I had no idea how you activate the b bender.

I just had to break out my Diamond Rio CD's. Jimmy Orlander is the king of B Bending in my eyes.

Re: Cool video demonstrating how the B Bender works and sounds.

I knew this dude a few years ago who was a hell of a tele player. He didn't have a B-bender but if you listened to him you would swear that he did.

That's such a critical part of a good tele tone...

And I, who thought the B bending guitars had a knob to push on whenever you wanted to bend the B string.:smack:

Awesome clip, I think it was cool the way he layered each sound in the clip. He made it look so easy!

Huh, that must have slipped under my radar. Hm, it's not a push button.... I don't know why I've always thought it was, but. We all learn something for each day. :D

Btw, nice guitar!

I have been pimping BBs around here for a couple of years now. I finally got fed up with the Fender American P/G Benders. They just started to get on my nerves. It's time to try different Benders for me. I sold mine last week.

I want to try a McVay Bender, but they are 600 bones!! :blackeye: Let's not forget that I am not even great using a bender too! :smack:

That sounded pretty sweet. Not something I would personally use (I dont rele play country) but I think it sounded pretty cool. I think the point of it was to do chords and be able to bend the B string within that (listen to the sould clip of the Fender B-Bender tele on the Fender site) instead of just using it for single notes. Probably to make double stops easier also.

Re: Cool video demonstrating how the B Bender works and sounds.

wow. that made me want one!
But cant that tone be replicated by just bending the string? At first while watching I was saying "so whens he gunna use the b bender?" until he demoes it. Of course, I was half listening since its valentines day and the mrs. was on the phone at the time I was watching it.

Some guys can bend like w/o a bender...Danny Gatton comes to mind.

That was the coolest YouTube video I think I've ever seen.

That was an amazing video. I didn't think it was hokey at all. That guy's got great tone, too! Arthur Lee Land? Never heard of him, but he's got a great website. I wonder what kind of amp he played his Tele into. He's got a heck of a pedalboard, too, but I'm not sure if he was using any effects while riffing out. Again, amazing.
