Cool vintage-ish MIJ find...

Wattage

High Voltologist
1974 Carlo Robelli SG

It's a Kasuga made SG-480R all original with a pretty killer sounding set of Maxon proto-PAF buckers. Plays nicely and the neck is dead on '68 Gibson, low frets but no wear. Thing was hardly played. I just need to clean the nut up and replace the input jack. Came with an old Gibson MM chipboard case that looks all but new. Between Ash and GC I find more cool Japanese stuff. They never know what they have.

I'm keeping this one for myself

Yeah I am thinking it is pretty cool. I like old MIJ stuff but really I bought it to flip it and make a few bucks on it, that plan is out the window for now though. I am digging the hell out of it, these pups are just crazy good, very similar to Super 70's. I am recording a track tomorrow for a comp my friend's studio is doing and I am most definitely using it. The neck pickup is supernatural!

It's a pancake body, bunch of pieces of wood with a 3 piece neck and a killer rosewood board, a little bit of a freak. It was pretty much a case queen from all I can tell. A few dings and a bit of rash on the bottom edge but otherwise it is clean.

Yeah I love buying and selling guitars, and I really love finding cool ones that slip thru the cracks.

someday I'll get a shop setup

Cool. I had no idea Carlo Robelli was an old brand. I thought it was a 20 year old Sam Ash house brand.

How much, if you don't mind.

Such a great score, and a big bonus that the pickups sound good enough to leave it stock. You usually don't find guitars like this in new condition.

It's always fun to track a straight ahead rocker with an SG and Malcolm Filtertron type guitar for the authentic AC/DC sound.

This guitar doesn't really Acca Dacca all that well. It loves Neil Young though.
