Cort X-11: What replacement pickups?

Hi there,

I have just purchased a Cort X-11:

http://www.cort.co.kr/cort_usa/gire/spec/egspec.asp?md=x-11

and so far I was unable to get any pleasant sound at all from it, it sounds weird, like my baby nephew's plastic guitar. It has a Hum-Sing-Hum configuration using Mighty Mite Motherbuckers and an Mighty Mite MMS (at least that is what it says on their site).

I decided to toss out all of the MightyMites and to put in Seymour Duncans, so I punched in these values into the Tone Wizard on Seymour Duncan's site:

Instrument: Guitar
Guitar Type: Hum-Sing-Hum
Guitar body wood: Basswood
Fretboard wood: Rosewood
Bridge Type: Locking Trem

which generated a huge pile of results considering each of the possible music styles, but using the opinions I read in these forums I was able to narrow them down to this:

Bridge:
TB-14 Custom 5 OR
TB-5 Custom

Neck:
SH-2N Jazz Model
(I eliminated the SH-1N '59 Model using forum opinions)

Middle:
SSL-1 Vintage Staggered (this one showed up the most) OR
SSL-4 Quarter-Pound Flat OR
SSL-5 Custom Staggered OR
STK-S2 Hot Stack OR
SVR-1 Vintage Rails

I want to know your opinion on:

1) Custom 5 or Custom (i.e. TB-14 vs. TB-5 or SH-14 vs. SH-5)?
2) What single coil?
3) does the TB-14 + SH-2N + any of the middle PUs cited work? Or is it a totally wrong combination? (meaning that the Tone Wizard goofed and I didn't quite understand the opinions on this forum).
4) any other comment?

Thanks, bowzee
