great question -I think I've heard maybe 3 in my life that I can recall specifically.

2 sounded like extremely tuned and voiced hot bassman style circuit amps like a vintage Marshall, and the other was a super bright chimey affair.

1 was at a studio in Nashville in 2000ish
1 was at a booth at NAMM in 1996 (Chimey one)
1 was at a guitar show maybe 15 years ago.

I've never seen one used for a live show that I can remember.

id say he likes them a lot. i have an express clone/inspired amp and its lovely

This guy in town got a Bandit 75 from GC in NYC
box looked like they drug it behind the truck the whole way

In fact ,the ups guy just threw it on the sidewalk in front and drove off

Amp.played just fine

They are out they. Go get one. $200 or less usually.
I love Peavey. Both of my bass setups use Peavey amps. But my days of grabbing another amp are pretty much done. If I need low watt portable I have a Microcube or my Picovalve. If I need loud I have my Randall or Spidervalve.

In 20 years of doing sound, I have only come across a few amps that were of the OMG, rare, or next level classification. I have NOT yet seen a Trainwreck on my stage, but have seen a few Komet's ( more or less the official TW clone amp company ). Perhaps the rarest and most exciting to have seen was a full wall of 60-70's era Sunn Tube amps actually used by an amazing Doom Metal band! I have had 1 and only 1 real dumble come across my stage and the guitarist that owned it was worth it too!. There has been a sprinkling of rarer Marshalls and other exotic brands, but of the thousands of bands I have worked with, there has only been a small handful that had the OMG amps we all lust over.

To be honest, what I wanted 10 years ago is nothing like what I want today. So while I can say I would be happy with a few of those amps today, I know that my tastes will change. They seem to every 10 years or so.
