Couldn't rip out DiMarzios fast enough

Re: Couldn't rip out DiMarzios fast enough

Look, the thread title makes it obvious that you were coming here hoping for some sort of pro-Duncan / anti-DiMarzio commiseration. What you found was a bunch of pickup aficionados, on a forum for and by pickup aficionados. Good luck with your new pickups, can we be done with this already?

Re: Couldn't rip out DiMarzios fast enough

It was the wiring.

I put in a set of whole lotta humbuckers and just changed the wiring codes from Dimarzio to Duncan. Super weak; on the distortion channel there was no crunch, it sounded almost clean.

The guitar has a phase switch, so it wasn't super obvious. I rewired it based on diagrams from duncan's website and it rocks now.
