Couple of new guitars I made

Made a couple new guitars. Almost done. Been making the bodies from scratch, necks from warmoth. Paint, finish & wiring is all me.

Making necks is my next thing. Sounds hard but I'll get there. Been fun.

Tele is chambered ash with a flame maple top (duh) and on the back I added what I would call a round-over as opposed to a cutaway. Just took off the hard inside edge of the tele body so it won't dig into your gut. Coudln't really do a cutaway cuz I chambered it quite a bit. Neck on this is super flamey with a brown faded tint. I should take a pic. It looks pretty awesome. Back is a matching tobacco-ish tint.

Strat is candy apple red with alder body and maple neck.

Definitely not quite perfect but most people would never care or notice. Getting better everytime and I really enjoy it.

Pretty top on the tele (great choice of mini hum with the tele bridge too) and a classic looking strat.

if this helps anyone else, I found this new paint source that is simply awesome. Plenty of colors, can come in a spray can or just a can for use in your own sprayer. I've been using it in my HVLP setup and thinned out they go a long way and come out great. Also the "vintage formula" laquer will check wonderfully with a change of temp. Lots of fun colors in there too.

they look great!

I guess you could do a flame maple overlay on the headstock but the bend near the nut would be hard to do.

ive always just done a thin veneer for headstocks like that, it can look very good and it pretty easy
