cover a JB

hi, i have a JB and want a coverd vertion, now instead of buying a new nickep coverd vertion, i have a cover from an old stock pickup.

can i put the cover on my JB?? it fits on but the pole pieces are a little bit lower (milimeters) lower than the holes in the cover.

would i need to raise the pole pieces to be level with the cover?? what would yous recomend??

i also have a Jazz bridge pickup, does anyone have experiance with putting one in the neck??

Yes to all...except I've never put a Jazz Bridge pickup in the neck position. It's only a 7.9K pickup...vintage paf's measure around 8.2K, so I'd say there's a real good chance the Jazz Bridge model would make a fine neck pickup. Lew
