Hey friends!

I recorded this song... because I like it so much

It was difficult, I had to create the backing, which was not easy by ear, so it´s not 100% right.

When I played the tune in..I had some tears in my eyes :duh:

I will upload the backing, I just have to play it again properly. Everybody should experience how it is like to play a Lane tune imo!! One of the greatest things I´ve ever done.

I must say, that was a pretty awesome! Truthfully, I didn't expect much because I thought Shawn Lane was some ultra shredmeister guy... apparently my impression was wrong. The whole song was very tasteful, even the fast parts. Obviously, I can't tell you how the song compared to the originial.. never having heard it. Great job!

It's amazing how many excellent musicians are on this site...

Shawn Lane could shred with speed of light..but he did it always with taste

But on his 2 albums "Powers of Ten" and "The Tri-Tone Fascination" the songs are the most important thing. He didn´t do there lot of shred on the albums..but super songs

I'm not very familiar with Lane. I know that he played with Hellborg who I saw live when he was youg(er) with John Mclaughlin.

Nice playing and I like the tone you get around 01:16.

Excellent job, strangesound!
I think you did great to get the chops AND the dynamics working together, which is where so many fall way short. FWIW, Shawn was an acquaintance of mine. Truly gifted, always amazing. Such esprit with his improvisation.

you have a nice touch. your vibrato is pretty polished. i ahvent heard the original either, but your playing is very good. the fast parts seem almost effortless, im jealous :bowdown:
