Cracks at neck pocket on bolt ons

It's pretty much universal on non-new Ibanezes since the mid-80s, though

Probably has something to do with their finish formula and maybe how they torque their neck screws

It's MIJ exclusive. I have a Charvel CX291 from 1992 with finish crack on the joint. Must be the Japanese formula. And those screws yes...metric size guarantees finish crack. You won't find it on a USA Gibson I am pretty sure.

For what it's worth, the pic I posted is my Ibby Jetking JTK1, that's probably around 10 - 15 years old. And it's Indonesian. And, the crack was there when I bought it. It got me a decent discount. May have been from store tire kickers.

All three of my Ibanezs have the same stress cracks. I will admit in the 80's I bent the necks a lot ala, Randy Rhoades. Still, I got 'em too.
