Crate V Series ??

DO any of you have one , or tried one, my buddy has a V5 (5 watts) it screams, harmonics just jump off the guitar almost everywhere, so i would like to try a V 50fx2x12.......... does this amp have a good lowend crunch ???, thanks rammer

Are you talking about the VFX series, with EL34's? I've been dying to try one of the VFX5212 models. I've got the old VC5212 with EL84's. It sounds great but the idea of EL34's excites the h#ll out of me.

I have that amp, I love it. I wish the footswitch would work, because it's all messed up, but other than that I love this amp. I'm pretty sure it needs to be retubed, it's not nearly as bright or crunchy anymore, but it still sounds great.
