Crazy 8s FS/FT

These are awesome pickups, just not my cup of tea. I think they would sound great through a lower gain amp, but my 5150 just isn't bonding with them the way that it does with my Brobuckers.

I have 1 Crazy 8 trembucker and 1 Crazy 8 regular spaced humbucker. Both are in like new condtion. They were installed in the same guitar as a bridge/neck pair. THe leads are factory full as I didn't clip them just in case they didn't work out for me. I will sell these for $115 each including shipping anywhere in the CONUS (outside of the country, we'll split the shipping). I would prefer a USPS money order, or we can split the paypal fees. Or I will trade for a Brobucker or EVH/78 in like new condition ONLY. Let me know. Thanks a bunch.

I'm diggin' the Crazy 8, but I still haven't decided whether to leave it in the Ibie.

It is a HOT pup. I can see how it would clash with the 5150.

Re: Crazy 8s FS/FT

Yeah, I was playing around today, and the 5150 just LOVES lower output pickups. PAFs and hot PAFs like the Brobucker are the perfect combo with this amp. In fact, the Custom 5 that's in my Hamer Standard is the hottest pickup I play through this thing anymore. That's why I'm willing to trade this Crazy 8 for a Brobucker or a 78/EVH.

Travis, just curious, what happens with a Duncan Distortion and the 5150? I wouldn't think that would suck at all. Sounds like a nice combination actually.

Re: Crazy 8s FS/FT

Bump.

Nobody wants a Crazy 8?
If it was a Trembucker spaced one I would snagg it. I had two and sold one off before I found the bad pot in my Salas was causing some problems. Now I love tha things oh well that's life:sad:. I have a pair of A8 mags coming so let's see how a Custom 8 works out :cool2:!
Good luck man :friday:.

Re: Crazy 8s FS/FT

Sorry, I've been off the board for a little while with finals and all.

The Crazy 8 regular spaced humbucker is still for sale.

Fusion1: the Distortion/5150 combo is awesome for power metal. It's pretty compressed with harmonics galore. The Duncan Distortion is still one of my all time favorite humbuckers. Although I only have one left, at one time, I had 6 or so in various guitars.
