I find some of the body styles reminiscent of Italian-made instruments of the Sixties and Seventies.

Tell your buddy, that he has some good looking stuff. I hope his company does well, because I'd love to see those become as great as some of the others, namely Hugh Manson, Carl Thompson, and Ken Lawrence.
