Crazy UOA5? Crazy 8 with alternative magnets and why?

haven't tasted the Crazy 8 yet, but what do you think it would sound like with an UOA5? A4? A2?

Since it has the parallel axis poles how would that affect the tone? And the wind on this "forum-special" in particular has what sort of tonal contributions? YOU GUYS MADE IT, SO YOU TELL ME :naughty:

UOA5's are warmer than A8's, and A2's are warmer still. They would also have less output. If this is good or not depends on what you're looking for.

So, because it's a parallel axis trembucker it'll be warmer still, right?

I don't have any experience with those PU's, but if they're warmer than average, than that's another variable adding to it. To me, warmth is good in a bridge PU, to other guys it's not. Maybe the best approach is to spell out what you're looking for, and see what the members say about the PU being appropriate for that.

I was just curious what people would gander.... LOL funny that no one has gandered...

I'm just going to leave it as stock from the Custom Shop. I'll sell it/trade it if I don't like it.

Curiosity killed this thread....... lol
