Creation Audio Redeemer... Opinions?

I've been thinking about trying one of these out as the local guitar shop has a bunch of them from before the company went factory direct they want to get rid of for cheap. Supposably it's super low noise and unity gain and doesn't cut out the sound when the battery dies (I'd still put it on a push-pull bypass switch just in case, I don't trust actives). Seems like it would be useful since I drive quite a bit of cable and pedals now. Get some of the benefits of active pickups without giving up the passive duncans I love.

Picked one up really cheap, installed it, to be honest I can barely tell the difference, sounds a little clearer but I haven't yet tried it with my full pedalboard and long cables. it was a cheap experiment and I have it on a push-pull pot to deactivate it so don't care too much. I'll post a full review once I figure out what it really does.
