"Criminal For Hire."

Re: "Criminal For Hire."

pretty sweet! Good songwriting & singing technique especially imo. for vocals what mic and preamp/compressor?

Re: "Criminal For Hire."

Hey thanks man, I appreciate that!

I'm almost embarrassed to say which mic http://www.buzzillions.com/dz_72212_stageworks_dm270_cardioid_dynamic_reviews
cost me a whopping $29.00! LOL I used a MindPrint Trio for the mic pre - another not expensive piece. I did put the vocal through an SSL Channel strip in the mix though. Like most I have been hit hard by the economy and have had to sell the good gear, but **** if I'm going to let that stop me. ;)

:) Thanks again much appreciated. I'm never selling that mic now. ;) Actually, I was a little surprised it sounded okay, I was using an SM57 a lot and it's pretty close.

Re: "Criminal For Hire."

That sounds cool man. It sounds very mainstream. This style might really go if you try to push it, nowadays. I can see it as a movie soundtrack.

Great quality too. Nice keyboards.

Re: "Criminal For Hire."

Thanks Frantic, glad you liked it. If I had a guitar I would put some heavy power chords in the chorus, dropped D style. :headbang:

Re: "Criminal For Hire."

It's typically you! It sounds great and shows how good your ears are. I love your eq work and mastering!
The song is great and easy to listen as allways!
