Crossley Kanji Sisters

Re: Crossley Kanji Sisters

Heh, those things were meant to RAWK now weren't they?

But, to br honest I think my faves so far are the Fireburst with the Wilky and the Black one with the Purpleheart fretboard :D

Re: Crossley Kanji Sisters

Hi guys,
Just finished setting up these two sisters in arms,
built for one guy, both have the same timbers, being maple over mahogany, Queensland maple and purple heart necks, Nigerian Ebony boards, Tasmanian Myrtle control covers.
One has a Schaller roller bridge, the other has a Kahler Hybrid Trem
FAB Brierley humbuckers, usual coil splitting, and a kill switch down near the input jack. Sperzel lockers and Kanji Script inlaid int the boards, Now that nearly sent me blind!!!
Sorry for the glary pix, its summer here and trying to find shade is murder!
Aussie Sunshine, Comes in Great big bucket loads.

Cheers
Pete

I think the second one on the Khaler means "Yamaha is Moose Dung"

Re: Crossley Kanji Sisters

Very nice looking guitars!!!!

And by the way, if know one has asked already who is that girl in your avatar,
wicked wee pic!!!!!!!
And is that black guitar one of yours?????

Re: Crossley Kanji Sisters

Peter, I just have a quick question that might have already been answered. How thick is the maple cap on those guitars, and how thick is the back? I was just curious, as you seem to have a nice amount of maple on there.

The maple caps are between 20-22mm thick thats just over 3/4"
the back of the body is 25-28mm
so the toal thickness overall ends up being 47mm or thereabouts give or take a mil.
LP's are 50mm
Strats are 45mm

Re: Crossley Kanji Sisters

Yep, my favorite ones still are that fireburst with the Wilky and the black one with the reversed zebra (although I prefer the Eddie zebra myself i.e. the neck is normal zebra and the bridge is reversed one :)).

BTW, I'm still not sure where to put that amazing blue one (it's in his avatar I think)

Re: Crossley Kanji Sisters

I love your guitars. I think phil_104 and I are going to have to battle to see who will be the first Canadian to own one.

Re: Crossley Kanji Sisters

Peter, those are beautiful pieces that's for sure, but I have to ask the question that's on everyone's mind............... Who is that in your Avatar?

Re: Crossley Kanji Sisters

the only thing that looks better then the guitars Peter is making is that model he uses in his Sig.... wow....
