Cryo treated valves. Anyone tried them, have opinions etc?

Re: Cryo treated valves. Anyone tried them, have opinions etc?

sounds like they better have good QC afterwards. the only way to tell BS or not is tompare a set of non-frozen ones to the exact same run of tubes , yet frozen.

Yeah, I have some cryo'd RFT ECC83s..........do they sound better? Well, they sound fantastic in a Marshall type amp, but I've never tried or compared them to their non-cryo'd counterpart.

My honest opinion is it's a sales ploy....it all boils down to how much & how hard you play vs. how much you're willing to pay.

Mmmm...... I think I might shoot them a mail and find out what the fuss is about. They aren't horrendously more expensive than their 'normal' counterparts, so I might give them a whirl - say compare a normal JJ ECC83s with a cryo'd one in V1 of my Engl. I feel a shootout on the horizon!!:smokin:
