Yeah I reversed the fender wires. White to ground and black to the switch. Still waiting on the other pickup. It should be here tomorrow.

I got the ssl5t in today. It sounds great. I'm likely changing those amber knobs out for black ones.

No clue how to post a video. Let's just say it's proof that even lower output pickups give crunch on an 18w amp. I'll figure out how to get some audio up

Except for my crappy playing, these pickups sound great.

I'm still debating what to do with the 3rd cs69. I have an 06 hss mahogany strat. It was 2 texmex singles and a diamondback humbucker. I wonder if the makeup of that guitar will make the cs69 to sound different enough from this mij so that I don't have 2 guitars that sound the same. It's a polar opposite... Mahogany vs basswood. Rosewood fret board vs maple. Lsr roller nut vs bone.

I'm wondering if I should have snagged a fat 50s to go along with this. As good as these sound, the neck sounds pretty much like the middle. They aren't different enough to my ears.

A Fat 50s will emphasize the roundness of the neck with the brighter middle. They are both still single cool Fenders though.

What time pots/caps/arrangement are you using? I put one tone on the neck, on on the bridge, this gives a very snappy middle (I EQ for it) then can roll the neck back a touch. This gives two flavors of Strat pickup.

I have 250k dimarzio pots with a 47 orange drop cap on the neck tone. One tone for neck, one for middle, none for bridge. The vol is a 250k dimarzio push pull for the ssl5t coil tap.

Did a change to this today. I added a push pull pot for the neck tone. When pulled, it activates the neck pickup in any position. Also shielded it

Great idea! I have a Strat with a switch in it too that allows those same combinations.

I counted 11 combinations today... the pickups are cs69 in neck/middle and ssl5t in bridge.
the standard 5 here...
neck
neck + middle
middle
middle + bridge
bridge
plus............
bridge tapped
bridge tapped + neck
bridge tapped + middle
bridge tapped + middle + neck
bridge + middle + neck
bridge + neck
