Re: Current Projects/Ibanez Content

Briguy68 actually posted pics for me in the a thread titled something along the lines of "what is your best looking guitar" or whatever it was titled as...
My ESP Mirage and my Pacer Deluxe were pictured there.
I'm on an iPad so I'm not very good at using it as opposed to my PC, so I don't think I have any other pictures of them within the last 8yrs or so, and since then my collection turned over a few times and I went from all King V's and ESP V's to superstrats...

I can however text you some pics in the meantime until I'm done with some of them and post them all up.

I was checking out your pictures of your Kramer's earlier this morning and man! Nice stuff for sure!
I particularly like the single hum SC-3 (? Think that's the model) and your Dr Feelgood Tele, and of course your Barettas are super nice as well. Those were all from 2009, so I'm not sure what survived or what you have now, but we have very similar tastes, so I can only imagine that your collection consists of some really nice shred machines as usual.
Also a shout out to your '83 Pacer! Love that thing and I'm glad you hung onto it! Not many left anymore, especially with all those guys on eBay parting out nice original guitars for profit, which always disturbs me to be honest.

Found that thread; LOVE the modified Pacer Deluxe...beautiful...and that ESP looks like a real WarHorse!!! Both very cool.

Thanks for the kind words. I've cycled through a lot of guitars in the last 17 years. I've had some really cool/nice/rare ones but I get bored and sell one to buy or build another or find something hanging in a pawn shop, at Music Go Round or elsewhere that I like, thus the ongoing rotation.

The SC3 was mutt build from a NOS Body and I eventually settled on an E.E. Pro I Neck on it. Sold it to a Kramer Forum Member up in Wyoming who had a Ferrington Neck converted into a replica of the neck it should have originally had on it. Only Kramer I have these days is the '83 Pacer Imperial.

Other than the 1983 Kramer Pacer Imperial; I currently have a 1989 Guild F50 Navarre Jumbo, 2001 Tacoma EKK9 Solid Koa, 2016 Warmoth Telecaster, 2013 USACG Iceman, 2009 Gibson Les Paul Studio Raw Satin Transparent Aquamarine, 2009 Gibson Les Paul Studio Raw Satin White, and, the two Ibanez Projects I'm working on getting done now - 2000 Ibanez RG-520QSTB & 1987/1991 RG-570MFM.

Have a pair of amps and extension cabs as well; for High Gain & Distortion I have a 1992 Peavey 5150 2x12 Combo: 60W with Stock Sheffield 1200 Speakers & Vintage 80s Wire Grill Mesa/Boogie 2x12 Cabinet w/Celestion G12T-75 Ipswich, England Speakers and for Clean/Jazz/Bluesy Tones a 1994 Peavey Blues Classic 1x15 Combo: 50W w/Celestion Fullback and all new JJ “Blues” Tube Set & Bluesbreaker 2x12 White Tolex Cabinet w/Vintage 1968 Jensen C12N Chicago, IL Speakers.

Re: Current Projects/Ibanez Content

Oh yeah! I like it a lot! Completely my kind of guitar! Thumbs up mate! :fing2: I would welcome both guitars in my collection any day! ;)

Re: Current Projects/Ibanez Content

Thx! Cleaned up pretty nice for a $169.99 Music Go Round find. Thorough cleaning, new pickups and a proper set up and it's a monster. Getting the 570 back on Wednesday.

Re: Current Projects/Ibanez Content

While I am not personally feeling these color combo's - I see a personal style evolving, which really supports your screen name.

I am also jonesing for a guitar where Blue pickups would be awesome.

Re: Current Projects/Ibanez Content

Thx folks! Appreciate the kind words. All my builds have been parts mutts; much like the RG550M Neck/RG570FM Bodied one that will come back to me on Wednesday. Most of the Kramer's and BC Richs included.

It sounds more full, deeper and darker than my bevy of Maple Board guitars. Plays really nicely.

Re: Current Projects/Ibanez Content

Project completed! 1987 RG550M First Year Original Wizard Neck (with a fresh fret level, polish and ends filed smooth) on a 1991 RG570FM Body with DiMarzio Air Norton F/Duncan Lil '59/DiMarzio Tine Zone F and Original Edge Trem with Big Brass Block Upgrade. Set up * perfectly *; feels and plays like a First Gen RG should and it sounds great to boot!!! Will have to snag a better pic in better lighting later. ;)

:notworthy:headbang::notworthy:headbang::notworthy

You cracked me up! Mike Hawke! :)

Thanks. I think it came out nicely; everything fit together and lined up perfectly!!! Had it plugged into both the 5150/Mesa Celestion 2x12 Cab and the Blues Classic/Bluesbreaker Jensen 2x12 Cab last night and was very impressed with it. Only thing I wish it had was a full scalloped fretboard.
