Current rig pics.... what's yours?

I hadn't used this amp for a long time, strangely I have had the cab a while and never used it. We did a support gig last week with Queen tribute band "Flash" and we had the use of a full 10K in house PA. I took this rig along because I knew it would sound good and I was going to video it for a potential buyer but that all changed as soon as I sound checked! I cannot explain the feeling I got, I couldn't stop smiling... honestly, it was the first time in along time I enjoyed playing so much. Here it is, let's see what currently floating your boat.

Re: Current rig pics.... what's yours?

My "rig" changes from gig to gig...I have a great pedal board that's wired up clean, powered and sounds killer but it's often too big to take to a gig in a 6 piece band so I often put a Pedaltrain Mini together before the gig. Last gig I took my white BMF Fuzz Face an early 70's Jen built Sound City Wah Face and the board had a Fulldrive 2, Aqua Puss MK II echo, TC Polytune and Hartman Compressor.

I too my 62 Deluxe and only the deluxe...no stereo rig last gig.

Guitars...I took my ES-335, Les Paul and Broadcaster replica all tuned to E Standard, I too my Melody Maker with the palm pedals tuned to open E and my High way One Telecaster tuned to open G.

I'm gonna try to take less gear this gig, maybe 3 guitars and fewer pedals...I love having a lot of options but the stage fills up quick with 5 other guys!

LOL indeed
Is it just the angle of the picture, or is the Orange that much bigger than the Electric?

Empty space on the board is for a Strymon Blue Sky when I have a spare $350 lying around

Re: Current rig pics.... what's yours?

I've been integrating the Strymon Lex Rotary and Boss Harmonist into my rig as a complete Hammond B-3 sound, with the lower rotor going into the Bogner XTC, and the upper rotating horn going into the Gibson Goldtone GA30RVS. I get a swirling Leslie that's 3D and can almost make you sea sick.

Similar to the picture, my rig is the XTC/Goldtone/with Bogner 212 cab under it.

[edit] My main amps at the moment....mint 84 JCM 800 4103 and Fender 74 Pro Reverb, blackfaced by Aspen Pitman. Both killer.
I currently own every amp in this post. They're my babies.

Good God. Where do you all get the money?!
Haha... Awesome rigs, totally blows my DSL -> Guitar out of the water.

Playing guitar is a tough hobby as a soon-to-be College kid. :/

Re: Current rig pics.... what's yours?

Killer set ups guys. I think it's about time I tried a stereo set up at home as it's something I've never really tried simply because in our band we have 2 electrics and an acoustic, plus bass and drums, so it would be really messy and OTT. I guess my better half will go shopping later when all the amps come out to play! Lol

For gigs I usually take the cherry sunburst LP, the Tele and either the JMP combo (sometimes with the 1936 cab as an extension) or the DSL with the 1936.

Very simple pedalboard for a simple player :) ...

There is absolutely nothing wrong with DSL/guitar. DSLs are great amps! I gigged mine on Friday night and while we were sound checking I was thinking to myself I'd actually nailed my perfect guitar tone!

Absolutely, sometimes less is more! Although I have a few pedals I have done a fair few gigs with just a guitar, tuner and amp... nothing more pure and liberating. For rehearsals I just use guitar, Dual Terror/ cab = awesome.
