Take one coil from a 59 and one coil from the custom series. This yields asymmetrical coils and a total pickup impedence of around 11K.

With an A5 magnet, its got a very "VanHalen-esque" tone.

I actually have one of these in the bridge of my les paul with A8 - overkill IMO. It sounds great with A2 in a strat, overly thick and middy (but not nasally, oddly enough) in a les paul (w/A2) though. I'm actually pulling it out to put in a PGb to match the PGn. But it's my 2nd favorite in a strat (1st is the humble VHPAF w/ A2). Someone should definitely pick this up
