Custom A2 vs A8 clips

so i had an idea, lets try the A2 magnet in the custom.
ive only tried it in the JB 2 years ago or so and i liked it alot but it wasnt very bass heavy.
maybe i dont need a pickup thats bass heavy, cause thats when the tightness gets affected in some situations.

the pickup height was also stated

as far as i can hear it, the A2 height high is nearly the same sound as the A8 but its a little less boxed, hairy and overgrown.
it also sounds like the A2 sinks back into the mix more professional?
im sticking with the A2 even the leads have a smoother less pressed quality.
i was under the impression the A2 was wayy less bass, i think my recording setup is so refined now that
any pickup will do its part, just get the pickup were it doesnt add too many extra artifacts and tones will be fine.
i wanted a more refined C8 i may have found it.

Re: Custom A2 vs A8 clips

The A2 (high) has smoother highs...and the bass is less present than the A8 as well.

That A8 just supercharges the sound.

With the A2, the guitars in the mix seemed to blend together, and are a bit more relaxed in the mids, with the A8, the guitars really tend to take charge.
