Ok, so I'm building a fender tele type guitar, and want the finish to be 100% original.

I'm thinking of either a complete paint respray or maybe putting my own images on the guitar and lacquering over.

However, I'm resprayed before but that's it. If I start sticking images to the bodywork I'll need to lacquer it. Any experience, anyone? If so, what are good products, where from etc... I'm looking for a decent finish with little experience required.

I've never messed with putting pictures on the guitar and painting over them, so I'm no help there.

ReRanch is one of the best places to buy (re)finishing supplies. Stew Mac has a lot of stuff, too.
