Custom Custom Sound Clips?

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to this forum :wave:and I was wondering if anyone had sound clips of the Custom Custom. I was thinking about putting it into my MIM Strat; I heard it sounds great in Strats. I currently have a Full Shred and it's very trebly.

Thanks for your help!

Re: Custom Custom Sound Clips?

i had one but it's kinda muddy, and the post processing was a lil thick. I'll try to dig it out

Re: Custom Custom Sound Clips?

The SD site has clips. Of course it depends on your speakers how different they will sound but you will get an IDea. The CC will be warmer and looser

Re: Custom Custom Sound Clips?

I rather dig the sound you got on that, Karma.

lots of chug from the CC there. but thats a good apoximation of the mids and highs under gain.

i will say a tapped CC has an amazing sound if any of you were wondering.

Re: Custom Custom Sound Clips?

Going from a Full Shred to a Custom Custom in the same guitar is a very radical transition. I've done it. I did not care for the CC and found much better tones just rolling back the tone knob with the FS. The CC is "warmer" but far less precise. For me, the FS had just enough bass, but the CC had very little (this depends on guitar, amp, etc.) No matter how I E.Q'd the CC (you might expect: I cranked the treble) I still couldn't get it to sound like I wanted, there was an inherent blurriness to it that I did not get on with. Your mileage may vary; many around here like the CC a lot.

Re: Custom Custom Sound Clips?

Here's another clip.

Ozzy's 'Crazy Train'.
Duncan Custom Custom in the bridge.
Ibanez RG321mh (mahogany body, bolt-on maple/rosewood, 24 frets) through a PODxt.

Re: Custom Custom Sound Clips?

if the cc is too loose he could always swap the magnet for an A8 and get tighter bass roughly the same mids some rolled off highs and more output
