Custom Custom vs. 78 vs. Frankie Replica Pup

From what I've read for the past month or two, it seems like the Custom Custom is the EVH pickup that best suits the 1984-OU812 era, and that the fender frankie replica has a pup somewhat similar to the CC. It seems like the custom 78 is going to be closer to the VH1-Fair Warning/Diver Down era.

Does all that sound correct? Any thoughts or further comments on those pups in general?

PS
How would those pups compare to the screamin deamon?

Screamin' Demon is Alnico 5 with one row of allen screws. It's bright and tight. EVH used Alnico II magnets, which give warmer, rounder and middier tone.
Custom Custom is what he USED at the 1984-era. (again, he used lots of guitars, but one of them had the CC). The '78 is Seymour's replica of the pup in the original VH I guitar.
P.S. At Metro forum some folks have got really great results with a DiMarzio Super Distortion with the ceramic magnet replaced with a Alnico 5 one.

That sounds about right. I played the replica. I think it sounded like the '78 with the output of the CC. I also think the '78 does 1984 tones really well, I just dial the high end back a little on the amp.
