Old thread, but since someone already revived it, I'll put it this way. The Custom Custom is a nice all around pickup but is best for lead playing in my opinion. It has a lot of upper mids and it's loose. The PG+ is tight and more low end and low mids, similar treble to a Custom Custom. The PG+ and CC are both what I would consider bright and warm. Neither ever get harsh, but the PG+ has a tiny bit higher treble I think than the CC.

I've had a PG+ for several weeks now and it's my favorite Duncan at this time. I love to play it more than any of my other Duncan strats. It's very articulate and unforgiving but sounds good for just about anything.

Uber i am in the PG+ camp as well,i do use the UOA5 but also love the A5 version. I really dont like the A2 bass and top end response. the A2 mag is just not for me,it does not have the attack and presence i like. the PG+ is all about attack and presence with a great P.A.F flavor.:14:

the PG plus has an alnico V mag because the extra turns it has rob some of the highs (compared to the standard A2 PG bridge), so it needs A5 for the treble
