I'm curious. I spent the afternoon recording quick clips and switching out magnets on my Seymour Duncan SH-5 Custom bridge pickup. Same guitar, same amp, same mic'ing, same same same.
I compared ceramic, alnico 2, alnico 8, and alnico 5. Plus my choice for this particular guitar. These are just power chords and higher gain.

- Custom - more mids and power than my choice pickup
- Custom Custom - more treble
- Custom 8 - more upper mids, power, and more headroom
- Custom 5 - more bass and not as loud
