custom or d distortion on mahogany

hi dudes

i know that this forum loves the custom over the rest of duncans, XD, but i need to know what pup, custom or distortion, would work better on mahogany bodies (maple necks), and what kind of sound can i get from both...

i have a distortion trem on a baswood bodied guitar, and it is perfect for thrash (testament, metallica), metal (machine head) and death (nightrage) tipe of tones...i want the same tones from the mahogany...

I'd go with the Custom, since it's fatter sounding and has similar output.

what means fatter?¿? i have seen their specs and the Dd have more mids (i want to sound a little scopped)

do you mean fatter because the custom have more bass than the other one?
