Custom (SH-5) and Jazz(SH-2n) combo

Would this combo work in an hh telecaster? (It is the Mexican standard hh tele)
It has an alder body and maple neck.
It also has a coil split on both humbuckers.
I play classic rock, grunge, hard rock, metal and heavy metal.
Would this combo work/sound good?

Would this combo work/sound good?

That combo should be a good choice for the styles of music you play. It does however depend on what sound you are after exactly, for example if you want a pretty warm sounding neck, I would not pair the Custom with the Jazz in the neck but with something else. If you are after a very articulate neck sound, this combo will nail it.

Oh yeah!
It is also versatile, and both pickups sound great split. You'll get some great classic sounds as well as modern ones.
