Ive ordered several necks through Warmoth and they are all excellent. I can imagine the bodies would be the same. Ive heard all good things from USA guitars also...

A bit of advise. check the scratch & dent area. I had a buddy just build a Tele and he bought a one piece swamp ash body in the clearance section for 200$.

That's a beauty. That relic work looks good. Their relics look amazing, but I'd still want the closet clean option

Closet clean is a great option. The finish looks fantastic, they've got the art of that vintage lustre all right.

Warmoth wouldn't do the color I wanted, I tried to email them, and they directed me to the catalog. MJT is really the 1 stop shop, and they give a pretty good discount when you buy the body and paint thru them. Same time frame, about 2 months. I'm going to go with swamp ash body and a maple neck, hope it not overly bright!

The Ash maple combo isn't as bright as some think. I find a rosewood board cuts more in an unpleasant way a lot of the time. You can wind the tone back a tad to reduce the cut from maple, but the gritty upper mids of rosewood can't be dealt with so easily. Sometimes ash/rosewood can clash in this area too.

I checked warmoth, and even with the showtimes discount prices its roughly the same price as mjt. Actually its a couple $$$ more. If I order a custom body its way more. And Warmoth will not do the color I wanted.

Yes, looking forward to the closet clean finish. MJT is all about relicing and the art of vintage, I could tell just from the few emails they sent.

That's good to hear! I'm thinking a tone zone or something similar for this combo would sound amazing. Maple neck, swamp ash body (hopefully a heavy one), and a tone zone in the bridge!
