Custom wins year and a half trial.

As I said, this was a year and a half trial, not and overnighter.

The other pup’s in the mix were the Distortion, ’59, Full Shred, JB, and the APH-1.
I rotated these thru three guitars.
The Custom totally rocks! It’s bullet proof, it has no holes. It’s just in your face. Great for anything heavy, and my fav, heavy blues. Solid, full, what else can I say?
Here’s the deal though. I have put the JB/Jazz(250k pots) in my #1, which is a Carvin SC90. It has a quilted maple top, mahogany body, and a birdseye maple fret board. I put that pup combo in there because those are so very broad. They do it all, and they do it well.
The Custom is paired with a ’59 in an old Epi Lp sparkle top. Serious in your face.

Of course, this is just my opinions and are not necessarily the opinions of this site.
But the Custom friggin’ rocks.

Happy hunting!

Normally, I don't go for "metal" humbuckers, but the Custom totally rocks....no two ways about it.

I have 2 "heavy sounding" guitars and one is the LP Goldtop with Custom/Jazz B, and the other is the PRS McCarty with overwound 15.3 Custom 5/59. Those combinations kick ass.
