Custom ?

I have an Epiphone les paul Black Beauty with only the neck and bridge p'ups wired. Im pretty sure the wood is alder because it is very light in color. I have a PG in the neck and it is the perfect neck tone I dream about. I really want to try out the Sh-5 Custom in the bridge but I have a couple q's. Will it sound good in alder and mix with the PG well, and will there be a sound difference if I wire it with thick cloth or metal braided wire, or normal insulated colored wire? Also my amp is a marshall avt-20 valvestate.

Thanks

The Custom would be an excellent choice to go for!!
It will match with the PG just fine, will sound good in alder, not a problem at all.
Drop the Custom in your bridge spot, and I bet you will be very very very close to your "ultimate tone". No kidding.

+1 I have this exact combo in my LP standard and it rocks, you won't be disappointed!!!

The Custom sounds wonderful in alder strats and mahogany les pauls, so I see no reason why it won't sound incredible in an alder les paul
