For the record, I've had a lot of improvements in reducing noise using a simple Monster power strip with a noise filter.

More than a few tube amps will reinforce noise if they get hum from both input and power they get dramatically noisier. Poor filtering in DC conversion, or by using AC powered filaments, hurray for corners cut.

what type of noise gate do you use?..i was under the impression the ISP Decimator can get rid of 60 cycle hum..i no longer have true single coils so i can't test that out for you...
