Most of you prolly already know this but in case some of you all don't, I have a little tip to make your D-Tuna last longer.
I have been using the D-Tuna ever since my first Wolfgang in 2000. I had that guitar for about 6 years and I used that D-tuna ALOT in an old coverband I was in. I went through 2 D-Tunas in those 6 years.
There is a little hex screw on the D-tuna that when the guitar is in E, it puts tension on the saddle screw to bring the guitar to pitch by tightining or loosening depending if your E is sharp or flat. That hex screw is small and over time the threads on the screw and the threads on the D-Tuna bores itself wider and starts to slip with tension. After that happens you might as well throw it away. I found by simply making sure that the guitar is always in D with the D-Tuna pulled out while its in the case or on the stand helps make the D-Tuna last alot longer due to the fact that there is not all that extra tension on that little hex screw. I have had the same D-Tuna on 3 guitars now (Peavey HP Special, Schecter Hellraiser and my new Partscaster) with no sign of wear by making sure The D-Tuna is allways in D while im not playing it.
Hope this helps someone.. Richard
