Yeah why do people freak out about paying $12 for strings when you can add hella tone quality and feel for a few bucks. And then they go spend 2 grand on their rig.

I’ve got away with a 56 for a low B with a 28 inch scale
I prefer a 64 on a 27.5 inch scale but I like a very tight low end.
I use 12s on the treble side.
