DaMOAF Fuzz.

Re: DaMOAF Fuzz.

Cool vids. It actually seems cleaner than I'd expect. That first clip is all amp, then you go low then high gain, right? How "muff like" is it? Is the low gain supposed to be Muff, then the high gain is muff + boost? I like the roar you get once you play unmuted near the end.

(Do you still have the Mesa or is the Orange your main rig now?)

I had to back the pedal's gain down to about half in order for it to record half decent. The camara makes the fuzz sputters sound alot more in your face than they are in person.

Theoretically, the high gain mode is supposed to be Muff like, but it's got alot more midrange and punch than your typical Muff does which is why I like this pedal so much. Low gain is supposed to get you into 60s fuzz territory.

The way I run it is so that I get a heavy fuzz with some clarity (for a fuzz) off the low gain mode, then a more over the top fuzz on high gain.

The Mesa's sold... what you see in the vid is what I've got.

Re: DaMOAF Fuzz.

OK cool, my ears don't decieve me. ;) I would have a tough time layering a standard style muff over the amp gain in your first vid.

Have you used any Skreddys? I wonder how DaMOAF compares to a Mayo with flat mids.

The preamp is running clean.... the master volume's on 10 and I have a heavy pick hand. ;)

I have the fuzz setup so that it matches my 'clean' volume, but it doesn't overdrive the amp as hard as my picking does.

Re: DaMOAF Fuzz.

I'd be curious about this as well as the Mayo is no longer in production and I'm looking for something that can not only get that classic triangle muff tone, but also the Pumpkins style wall of fuzz tones (without paying $500 for it to boot lol)
