danelectro fab distortion?

has anyone tried this one yet? I'm kinda interested and the sound clips on the site sound pretty good ... I was just wondering.

I ried the Fab metal and was not uimpressed in the least bit. It was either shriek-y or muffled with less gain than i expected.

I had one for more than three years and traded it in for Rocktron Zombie Distortion.
it came out long time ago and was considered a BOSS metal zone killer.
if you compare it to metal zone it has more mids and more punch. so it's better in that category.
then there were boss mega distortion and rocktron zombie distortion and others.
they all have more bottem and more modern.

Is the Fab Distortion you are talking about different then the Fab Tone? I have a few Fab Tones and i only use them for serious fuzz solos... Those Fab Tones have a huge bottom end to them that other pedals should have!

Yeah...if you're talking about the Fab Tone it's a cool fuzz...but it is a fuzz and not an overdrive unit or something like that. It's big, bad and buzzy/fuzzy! Does one thing but it does it well, IMO. Lew
