Danelectro help switch?

I have a Dano Baritone that sounds great but the switch broke. I replaced it with the same type but now the middle setting is silent. Each pup is ok on it's own but when combined there is nothing.
I thought maybe the switch was defective but I doubt I can send it back because I damaged it cosmetically so it may seem that I wrecked it. And I may have wrecked it!
In any event does anyone know how I can wire it up with a stock Gibson switch instead of the cheap Dano ones? The pups are in series when combined and my limited knowledge has led me to a wall. I have a Dano diagram but can't quite translate it to the Gibson switch.

Can you post, or link to, the diagram. A Gibson style switch isn't really suited to doing the middle position in series.
