Ok so i was wondring if anyone has ever played any danelector pedals. Iv heard that they are very breakable but that they sound excelent. Anyone have any expirence with these pedals? Thanks

Re: Danelectro

They do break easy, they are cheap, they DONT sound good by any means. remember, you get what you pay for and danelectro is horrid.

Re: Danelectro

Well i both disagree and agree with Seraphim. I own 5 Danelectro Pedals:

The FAB Metal i hate, it basically has 2 tones,Wallowing in Mollasses and Banshee Shriek,it doesnt have as much gain as you would think either.

The Dan-o-Wah i like but rarely use as i pretty much like the tone i get from my main wah. The distortion on this pedal is very very bad. I once played it over the phone to my drummer and he thought it sounded like a modem. Very thin sounding. All the wahs are useful and sound good to my ears. It was worth the 25 bucks i paid for it new off of ebay.

The Chili Dog Octave is a very very good sounding octave pedal that sounds much more, for lack of a better term, organic thea the Boss octave. I very much recommend it.

I also have a 7 band EQ which does everything i want and does it pretty well.

And lastly i have a pedal tuner that i never use because it doesnt have a backlight, which is what i think every pedal tuner should have.

All-in-all some are good but some suck also. Try it out in a store if you can and if you cant you have a possibility of wasting somwhere between $15 and $40 bucks, but you may get a sound you like for cheap.

Re: Danelectro

I have 3 full sized Dano Fab Tone distortion pedals.... 2 for back up as they have too much plastic parts near teh jacks.... I bought one a few years ago and found that is my solo sound! I a/b switch between the Dano Fab Tone and a Boss DS1 with a Boss Line Selector pedal.... I switch to the Fab Tone for solos.... It is really fuzzy! Too Fuzzy! I almost always only have the dirt on about 25% at the most... But when i want a loud fuzz with lots of bottom end that pedal works well for solos thru my Classic 50 or Classic 30 amps.... I do not like the sound of the Dano Fab Tone thru some other amps but thru the Peavey Classic series it rocks.
