Working at a pawn shop when you are musician who is prone to GAS attacks can be hard on the wallet at times :smack:.
The owner at the new shop threw me a ridiculously low price out on this thangie today so guess it may follow me home tomorrow.
Late 90's MIJ Dinky DK-2 that has become my shop demo guitar for amps as of late so---:smack::help::evil:.

That's a mighty fine practice tool, backup, beater, bang for the buck kinda thing. I guess it's a post 2006 model though.

LOL!! My thoughts exactly! Well Ascension, I'll go on and say congrats!!! haha

i couldnt work anyplace that sells gear. Payday would be like this. Boss:"Im applying your paychecks to your balance. Business sure has improved since you started working here!" Me:"Must be my great personality and customer focus!" Boss: "no, its cause you keep buying all the gear that comes in!!"

+1

Earlier DK-2s would have Duncan Designed pickups.
JB and set of Duncan stacks here as well as the pre Floyd Jackson trem so my guess is late 90's between 97 and 99. Had a later MIJ Dinky pro in red swirl it's here on the far right.

This one is much earlier has a much different neck profile and plays MUCH better it's also virtually unplayed with no trace of fret wear.
Got my last check from the old company today and got screwed out of several hundred $ so she is on a lay away for now but locked in it's going home with me.

Much better guitar than a beater/backup man. This one has the Floyd Jackson trem ( MUCH better unit that the Floyd 2000 on my later MIJ Dinky was!!) and a JB Duncan stack set. The Trem arm in particular is really tight and the over all feel very articulate unlike that sloppy mess of a Floyd was on my red one.

Re: Dang thing is just calling my NAME!

What's it still doing sitting there tha shop?

How much BTW?

Took to much of a financial hit from the old company when I left and haven't got my 1st check from the new guys yet is why it's still in the shop.
I was recruited by the new guys for my firearm and musical gear knowledge. Try $225 OTD on this one on for size!!
It's dead on this one on ebay right now but in a lot better shape.

Don't let her slip away. That's a lot of guitar for such little coin.
Post a pic when th baby is home!

Re: Dang thing is just calling my NAME!

Pickups are held in with screws, and it's not unheard-of for previous owners to do pickup and hardware swaps.

The neck pocket and heel will have the date stamped on them.

Re: Dang thing is just calling my NAME!

$225?? SCHWING!!!!! Man, insane steal!!!

Yep wouldda and couldda been a steal BUT. New boss is an old friend who has been trying to hire me to run this shop for quite a while. Guy is terminally ill and the guy I replaced had flat stole um blind, so today I had put the guitar in the back and planned to drop some $ on it at the end of the day but when a guy I had showed the Jackson to a few days ago offered me $350 I let it go. Right thing to do and in this business I know there will be another deal on a better guitar for another day.
Sold both Jackson and a Peavey 6505 combo as a package to the same guy today and did the right thing by my boss so overall not a bad day!
