DANNG! P-90s are BRUTAL!

Re: DANNG! P-90s are BRUTAL!

This is why my next guitar will be a single P-90 Korina Hamer Jr.

And this is why my last guitar was a double P-90 Jackson SweeTone Jazz'R.

And this is also why I ripped out the humbucker in my Ibanez JS hardtail and dropped a set of Phat Cats in.

P-100's are exceptional, well exceptional as refrigerator magnets anyway.

:laugh2: I don't have any, but a friend of mine has a paul with two p-100s so I was wondering what / how much difference there was. I guess that answered my question. :blackeye: :duh: :burnout:

Wow, you mean you've gone that long between new guitars? You, sir, are not one of us any longer! Haha.

I remember playing that Sweetone. Did Fender kill the thing off completely? That was a wonderful V neck. Great guitar.

P90's rule this earth.

Re: DANNG! P-90s are BRUTAL!

What's the deal with the P-100? I think it has a ceramic magnet, so it's a high output P-90. I had one in a Gem Series Gibson Les Paul Studio, which was dark dark purple with cream P100 and P-90. I wish I would have kept that guitar! I do want another P-90 guitar. They're like humbuckers with more growl and organic quality.

Re: DANNG! P-90s are BRUTAL!

I have 2 SG Juniors that each have a single P-90 in them. I love those guitars. I'd like to have another Gibson Les Paul, but with P-90's in it. One can definitely rock with those pickups. There's a song recorded with P-90's in a link in my signature. It'll show ya what they can do.;)

they use a vintage neck in the neck (rwrp) and a custom neck in the bridge position. weird, but it works.
That's on the regualr PRS, and not the SE, correct? The PRS website doesn't say DUncans for the SE, I'd be very impressed if the SE came with real Duncan P90's.

do P-90's quack?

And, do you guys think that they would sound good in a tele?

Not as much as a strat, but they do have a bit of quack to them.
