Dano Cool Cat Chorus-Sounds 'funny'?

I've got a great sounding cool cat chorus, but I've got an issue with it. When I use the pedal, the chorus sounds great, until the notes begin to decay. Then I hear a 'shuzzz' and then the sound is the guitar without the effect at all, kinna like a gate effect...when the signal gets to weak, it's like the pedal by-passes or something. :smack:

Anyone have any ideas? Is this fixable?

I used to have one of those awhile back and I never had that issue. Might just be something wrong with your pedal. :22:

Yeah, that sounds reeeeeeal funky - never had that issue with mine. I'm assuming you've already changed the batteries....

Was this a new pedal, or did ya get it used?

Actually, I think that's normal for the Dano.

I don't notice it at all playing with a band or with other musicians...only when playing at home all alone where I can obsess about every tiny imperfection.

In any case, I think it's the noise gate opening up at the end as the note fades out into nothingness again.

I just live with it...it's a great pedal otherwise, tho I wish it wasn't made in China.

Hmm...actually, it's very noticeable to me and the other dudes in the band. I kick it on for a 'lower' intensity part of the song and I'm just playing some light fills and the 'kick out' is nasty sounding when the pedal is in the efx loop of my Marshall.

Any way to just defeat that gate kicking out/in?

Got it new. Change the batteries? Yep! But I usually use the 18 volt adapter anyway. Tried it with batteries, then with adapter, then with different batteries...same deal.

Too bad about that nasty sound, otherwise it's my favorite chorus pedal.

Sounds like a faulty OP-amp or a bad delaychip.
