D'Avanzo Guitars...

Re: D'Avanzo Guitars...

What is that green color? I've been thinking of doing one in 2011/2012 Dodge Challenger "Green With Envy", which looks similar to yours but darker I think.

Re: D'Avanzo Guitars...

Not me. I want guitars complex and plain.. oh wait. :D

Yeah we all know you love those crazy complex wiring schemes and lots of pickups lol.

No idea on the actual name of the color unfortunately. It's more of a metallic candy granny smith apple green, not like the dodge which is more antifreeze or lime green.

Re: D'Avanzo Guitars...

Hey Mike, Any problem doing different scale lengths, I like 24 3/4 scale guitars myself.

Re: D'Avanzo Guitars...

Absolutely beautiful guitars Mike! I never get tired of seeing your creations come to life. I was lucky enough to have an opportunity to purchase Clone #13 in 2008 and I fully expect this one to be a lifetime keeper. The luthiers and friends of mine that play it complement me on how simple yet well thought out it is from both a functional and aesthetic perspective. The quality and tone is top notch as well and I enjoy playing it more than guitars that cost double what I paid for it. Mike is obsessed with getting all of the details right and it shows in all his products that I have seen (I also have 2 of his Monroe drive pedals). I am sure that the D'Avanzo guitars are as good or even better than the Clone guitar that I own given that he did not have to compromise on any of his specs and If anyone is on the fence about getting a D'Avanzo guitar I am sure that you will be very happy with the end product. Mike also has great customer service and has quickly answered all of my questions with very detailed answers.

That shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks very very much for the kind words. Glad to hear you're still enjoying Lucky 13 and the pedals! My standard neck back shape (for when a person doesn't want something specific) is based off several of the Clone's where I was experimenting with neck shapes to find the one that was just right and 13 and a few other have exactly it. So you'd be right at home on one of the new guitars.

Re: D'Avanzo Guitars...

Have you ever built any Charvel Clones dating back to 2007 with out a logo on the headstock?

Re: D'Avanzo Guitars...

Nope, all my old Clone brand guitars from back then had a "Clone Guitars NEW YORK" logos on them. The only one that doesn't have a logo visible is the snake skin one, it has snake skin over the face of the headstock and the logo on the back of the headstock.

Re: D'Avanzo Guitars...

Mike, I don't have any money to buy a guitar from you, but I am saving up. You don't do single coils do you?

Of course I do, I do whatever the buyer wants for the most part (no Kahlers though). Check my site www.DAvanzoGuitars.com for new builds, I've slacked off on posting pics on the forums but I update my website and instagram more often. I have two more builds about to be done at paint that I'm real excited about and both have single coils. One of them will also be fore sale as soon as it's done which is rare for me since I usually do custom build to order but I had an idea for a build and had to see it come to life.

Here's some recent single coil builds, more pics on my site...

I don't remember ever seeing that guitar. I'd like to see some pictures of it if you still have some.

Re: D'Avanzo Guitars...

Thanks. The esquire turned out killer, it has a Duncan BG1400 in it and I now love that pickup through my rig. Never tried one before but now I need to build myself a guitar with one in it.

Re: D'Avanzo Guitars...

Thanks guys. I've got two currently in the works I'm real excited about, should be done later this month.
