Is there any sonic difference between the original DM Livewire set compared to the new version with 25k pots?

For some reason I thought I saw somewhere that the Mustaine Livewires were upgraded with some of the improvements created for the original Blackouts but I guess I was wrong

The Mustaine LiveWires are *really* great pickups from a sound and technology standpoint, but the fact that they haven't been redesigned to adopt the 25k pots & 3-pin quick-connector that have become the industry standard is indeed a bit annoying.
Just like SD came out with the "LiveWire II" series, it would have been great to see an update to the O.G. Mustaine set. Heck, they could have made a "Mustaine" Duality set and that really would have been something!
The only other "improvement" I would love to see to the originals is offering them in a regular "Blackouts" style black plastic housing instead of the shiny plated metal covers they come in, which wear really easily.
