I've met her a couple of times

She is really petite, very sexy, and has the gigantic implants on such a small frame.

Definitely one of the sweetest females I have ever met, but then again I wasn't dating her or personal friends. Still, meeting nice people in HOLLYWEIRD is RARE

I'll take the Marshall 900 possibly unreliable tip here and move on.

I've always thought Navarro was considerably over-rated. I don't listen to much Janes/Chilli's/etc., so take that for what it's worth.

However - is anyone noting that this thread is 70% personal style/fashion, 20% gear, 5% Carmen Elektra, and maybe 5% his playing????????

Hoooold up... Perry Farrell was still their singer on Strays, their most recent album (a few years ago now). Don't tell me he left the band?!

When was Dave Navarro in RHCP? Did he record anything on any of the albums? What years?

Strays tanked and didnt sell well. It did like 300,000 units on an $11 mil. budget. The problem? the album sounded great, BUT BUT BUT Jane's fans are ARTSY music lovers and took the whole thing as "it's not as good as the original, Eric Avery (bass) is not in it, and they did it for the money" - and in essence they shunned it.

Funny thing, with all the pop crap out there, their fans are accepting of anything down to finding out the artist can't sing. Jane's does an album with a budget and we punish them for it. Maybe it's OUR fault as music lovers that the market is in the doldrums.

The RHCP album with Navarro is called One Hot Minute, me thinks.

When Dave Navarro joined the Chili Peppers, they referred to him as bringing the "Marshall Stack" sound to the band. Later on they said his sound didn't fit with the band.

Personally, I think the RHCP are only the RHCP with John Frusciante. He quit the band when he got too hooked on heroin, almost died, then when he sobered up they hired him back and seem to have fired Navarro.

I like Navarro's playing, he had a huge sound in Janes's Addiction, rumor is the noises heard on the guitar solo of "The Mountain" are a d*ldo, vibrator on the guitar strings.

navarro also used a vibrator on the strings for 'ted, just admit it" too i think. i like his sound a lot. he kind of threw all his influences in the pot and mixed it up, metal, psychedelic, punk, pop.

him with the peppers was not a good mix. he did give them more of an edge but all interested parties will admit it was not a match made in heaven. 'one hot minute' came out around 1995. if you are a fan of janes you should check out the group deconstruction. it was a one off project immediately following the dissolution of janes addiction. it's bassist eric avery and navarro (plus a drummer). avery sang as well. interesting stuff.

i hope his new band panic channel does well as i would like to hear more of him in the future.

i don't think perry farrell is currently involved in any music projects. it's too bad cuz i think he is a very creative and interesting songwriter.
