No idea on that, He was cool, I had a lot in common with the punkers in the band, I was usually only there to fix or prep the sessions and set up everything before a lot of tracking happened and then off to my studio to record what I cared about at the time -punk, metal and noise -as I didn't really care about 90s alternative radio music at the time. I did rebuild and update a 2 case mobile road recording system for them too --it had ADATS lol -for tracking at gigs and in their practice space.

i saw the George Lynch Dragon Wah 2 with the 20db boost and wondered how that would effect my small practice amps. i know pushing the boost at full boost will push the preamp tubes into breakup but i wondered if i couldnt get a few more db of clean headroom before it did it. was just an idea and Im thinking with single coils it would work a little better then a humbucker in the neck. Also backing the volume down to half and pushing the boost up on the pedal would give you that instant "pushed blues sound" when you went for a fill or solo and pushed your guitar volume up to 9 or 10 again. I will have to experiment. most loud drummers play around 10 to 15 Db. If you dont have the clean headroom you will have to get a bigger amp or mic your small amp and use monitors for everyone else. most 15 watt amps break up around the half way point so your under powered if using a small amp without monitors playing clean. I have a fender twin but lets face it, the small amps are easy to haul around and lighter to carry. A lot of bands are starting to use electronic drum sets for this reason since the volumes are so easy to adjust on stage and run through a house P.A. but not every drummer likes or uses an electronic set for gigging out. I'm not ready for the Fx processor direct into the P.A. I can hear and feel the difference and it bugs the hell out of me. I like tubes

I've used a very clean boost pedal (the JOYO Sweet Baby) in front of the Fender Blues Jr. (set fairly clean) for soloing. In the context of a band, my non-boosted volume produces ~92 to 95 db @ 8 ft. and the JOYO SB will increase it ~10 db. with very minimal OD. If you're driving an already dirty amp setting, compression takes over and the volume increase is much less. You can't really accurately predict results with any amp and any pedal, just have to experiment.
