DC style guitar w/ P90s

I saw a post about the Hamer Archtop P90 (I think) and it intrigued me. I've always liked the doublecut style body. I'd love a real Gibson, but I just can't afford it at this point.

P90's are a must. Quality is a must. Are there any other brands or models I should be looking at? Thanks.

Oh man! You have got to check out an Agile AD-2500 P90. I had one and it was incredible! $239.95 from Rondo Music (www.rondomusic.net).

I had this one and it kicked...

Very impressive customer service and great return policy. I have had nothing but great deals with them - possibly THE best customer service I have ever seen from a mail order company.

Have you looked for a used DC Special? or the Faded DCs? Both can be had very reasonably. If you really want Gibson those would both be good solid affordable guitars. Also the SG SPecials with 2 humbuckers are pretty reasonable then drop in a pair of Phat Cats.

Dillion makes a DC TV Jr. if you can handle a single P-90, really nice guitar, alder body though not mahogany.

Unless I can find a killer deal on a Gibson, the Agiles might be a good deal. Thanks for all the suggestions. :D

I have been gassing for a DC P90 guitar for smoe time now :yell: i need some p90's.
I was looking at the gibson faded DC special for whatever it is, how much do they go for used? And i am currently drooling over an old les paul junior DC with a single P90 in the bridge.

Now i am considering looking for some epiphone versions, no luck so far.

Epiphone made a number of runs in the 90's of juniour style guitars with single and dual bridge P90s. However, chances are you won't find one with a mahogany body let alone a mahogany neck.

That's the Dillion for me! I may grab one, one of the local shops almost always keeps one in stock. They are quite good!

Another killer guitar with P-90's is an Eastwood Hi-Flyer Ramones

and an Eastwood Stormbird

All the Eastwoods have been better than avarage Korean quality and they are all funky!!!

I've wanted P90's since I first heard The Who Live at Leeds. Seeing Green Day live a couple weekends ago just solidified that.

Re: DC style guitar w/ P90s

Those Dillion LP's aren't bad at all :). I played a goldtop one with a bigsby and p90's and I was pleasantly surprised at how it played, looked and sounded. :fing2:

Re: DC style guitar w/ P90s

The PRS SE soapbar guitars are about $500 new and I've been told play and sound excellent. At that price even if you replaced the pickups it would still be a good deal.
