DC vs JB or 59???

Newbie here, Hi all.

Right now I have a JB in my Charvel Model 6, I have a Custom that I have not tried in it yet but have been thinking about a 59. The JB seems a little bright and thin to me as compared to the DD. (I have a Charvel Model 5 with a Duncan Distortion in it and love the sound.) Any thoughts for me sound wise between the DC, JB, 59 and Distortion?

Since you already have them, why not try an A2 or A8 mag in both the JB or the Custom? Cheaper AND more fun!

Dont know if this is a help to u but i used the jb,custom and dd over the years in numerous guitars and was NEVER 100% happy. i switched to all 59's a little over a month ago and have never looked back. the 59 will cover anything from blues,jazz,rock to metal! yes it handles metal no prob just ask mr mark morton from lamb of god. Btw, all but one of my guitars are charvels the other one being a 84 kramer baretta.

The Custom will thicken it right up, try it.

The Duncan Distortion is a JB with a thick ceramic magnet.

Forgive my ignorance, is an a2/a8 replacement magnets? I searched the Duncan website and couldn’t find anything.
I am going to throw the custom in tonight since I have it and see what it sounds like. I do have a 59N on its way to put in the Model 5 to see what I think. I love the 80’s Charvel’s, great guitars!
