DD pickup height

Recently, I have been experimenting with different pickup heights. Usually, i keep the pickups real close to the strings for maximum output, but decided today to lower it. I turned both screws counter-clockwise twice to lower it (I left the bass side a little higher), and when i plugged in my guitar i was like OMFG!! MUCH MUCH Tighter, clearer, and less noisy then before!! My DD's are destroying my friends Emg 81's on his ibby! So happy XD.... I can't believe how much pickup height affects the sound.

Damn straight! Funny how the littlest thing can change your sound for the better.

The DD always sounded best to me away from the strings a bit. never cared for it real close
